St. Olaf and the National Survey of Student Engagement
The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) provides participating institutions with comparative data about the extent of undergraduate involvement in educational experiences that have been found to best promote learning. From the results of the spring 2008 survey we learn that St. Olaf students believe they are academically challenged at a high level but also find a supportive campus environment here that encourages their individual growth. 'Curious Words' enter St. Olaf lexicon
Three women have been named the winners of the first Curious-Word-of-the-Week Contest. The competition challenged St. Olaf word worms to incorporate 20 "curious" words, which were released weekly on buttons, into a short story.
